Thought that ya'll might like to see my latest find.

A man gave me a call needing to get an old 520 out of his basement. Just wanted it gone, out of his way. So I obliged. Since I'm still outta state, I had my rebuilder Rich go over to pull it out. Rich called me a couple days later and he said it was the biggest efm520 that he had ever seen! :eek2: Turns out to be an AP1300 saved from eradication!!
Most of the stoker parts are there but the base is going to need a bit of work unless I can find or get a new one made for it. Anyone just happen to have any unused 1300 bases laying around? ;)

As these aren't all that common, I'll share more pics of it as it gets closer to coming to life.

WOW!

That is one heck of a piece of machinery! I have never seen one before. I wonder how much that boiler weighs. looks like it put a hurt'in on that pallet!

Good job saving that from the scrap man Glenn!

I agree with Don
That looks like a beast.

CS,

I intend to refurbish it as I would love to see it restored and running, but one just never knows!
It is a beautiful plate boiler w/ an S45 stoker that looks like a beast.
