Well, here it is, in Southern N.England, almost 50*! Is spring here finally? We "did" just put the clocks ahead. How long before all the snow melts away? Or is this balmy weather, just a tease, only to be slapped with another Arctic front? I hope not. My coal supply will be expired in a few days, and I "really" don't want to have to buy another 1/2 a ton. At least I get to play with the low settings of my stove, and see how much "staying power" it has. Hows the winter, and coal supply in your 'hood?

Joe,
I kinda think we're just about done, well, at least where we are!
Might get some cold nights but the sun is just too high now during the day to stay cold much longer.
At least I hope so
The C40 is idling and ready just in case.
I have 70 bags of stove left out of 240, so if you want to play with your new girl in the garage just give me a ring!
I've got to call the sweep and schedule a cleaning

Not even close...in past years I have burned a ton in March and nearly another in April. The ice is deep in the lake, we will have cold winds into May.

Hey Rob, didn't you guys get about 8' of snow one week a couple months ago? Our test cell is near you in Plattsburg, and they were down for a while, because of the snow.Rob R. wrote:Not even close...in past years I have burned a ton in March and nearly another in April. I heard Dick Van Dyke just turned 92 and claims his good health is due to keeping busy. Maybe if you offered him the job, you'ld not only be doing him a favor, he might introduce you to Mary Poppins.scalabro wrote:Joe,

Looks like a killer. I'm glad it missed us here in N.England. I do remember winter of 96, but it wasn't one storm, it was many. When it snowed in March or April, I gave up shoveling snow, and just drove over it.Horace wrote:Dream on:
