Get 2" in NE and they call it a 'Noreaster" lol

Up here in northern Maine we get lots of wind putting fir tree limbs (boughs) around a home keeps the snow from blowing away from the home. We call it banking the house...the snow is a great insulator!

Great idea!

I just happened to have a few 8' long 5" diameter icicles fall off the house, which did the same thing for me ... :lol:
