Burning Coal in a Pellet Stove ???

has anyone tried , with success burning coal in a pellet stove? I just got a pellet stove after burning wood for the last 18 years. If you have , what size coal was used? Thanks

I wouldn't reccomend trying that at all. Most likely you'll probably destroy the stove in a short time. Coal burns much hotter than pellets.

DO NOT try it. You will trash your stove quick, and void you warranty.

I didnt think it would be a wise thing to do, but I figured I would ask people who know more about coal burning than I do.... thanks guys
