Light snow falling here, 25°F , wood in the rack and the stove burning nicely. Indoor temp 75°F, I would prefer 72°F but my 88 year old father likes it a bit warmer than I do. It got up to 43°F here today, tomorrow it is only supposed to be 19°F for a high.

It could be altered somewhat, but because we're home in the afternoon most of the time, it doesn't bother us too much to play. But the most negative fact is, if I don't take care of it 1st thing in the morning, by the time the wife comes home at noon, it'll "probably" be dead. Don't think she'll go 12 hrs, even on "super" slow. But I've gotten use to it, and compromises must be made to cut the oil bill "almost" in 1/2, and keep the house warmer.

The old Buderus Hand fed which is the European twin to what you have was close to what you have, maybe not quite so fussy but fussy nonetheless. The Keystoker 90 has been like heat from God. The Buderus oil boiler has not supplemented the coal heat for 3 years now. You might find yourself a little bored with a stoker but the savings will soon get you over the expense of a replacement unit.

This winter is unbelievable. Still getting into the teens at night. Single digits few days ago, snow forecasted for tonight. At this rate I'll be burning till May. That's OK. I enjoy the stove. Burning coal has kept me busy all winter. Although I would like it to get warm. Big plans for the central heating system. Plus I would like to get back to my house and mechanical projects. Probably be buying another ton in a couple weeks. My coal dealer still has plenty of coal, but started rationing the wood pellets to five bags per customer. Everyone stay warm. Matt

I hear you guys at the Cape, are getting hammered again. Bummer.

But is does justify burning the black rocks a little more. (Not so bad).

Will be in the teens here again tonite also, but "global warming" will be taking over this weekend. Can't wait. Been putting off spraying shellack on my bookcase for weeks. Garage heater's been down for years. Need to catch up on that this summer.

The extended winter is still going here. I woke up to 5 inches of snow and very windy conditions with temps around 30. The amount of snow varied greatly ranging from less than 1 inch to10 inches according to local news. Calling for temps to reach 50 later today but I will believe it when I see it. Highs look to be 50 to 60 for most of the week so a possible shut down by next weekend may be in order, time will tell.

I get outta work last night about oh about 5:30 get gas in mehoopany about an inch on roadway, 2 miles later up 87 little pontiac g5 pushin snow!!! Car still sitten in old cabin driveway What the crap! About 8-10 inches around here!

I got stuck in Grand Forks, N.D. yesterday. The blizzard lasted all day with 35-45 MP/H winds!!!! I got paid to sit in a hotel all day!!!

Chris, bring the family up this spring!!!

Up here in Edmonton, Alberta. it is warmer and dryer!!! Going home in the morning!!!

BTW, if you put a little wine in the instant mac & cheese, it tastes awesome!!! also it makes the hotel room smell better!!
