That's enough members to form a coal buying co-op,think of that discount !! How many tons would be needed for all 7800 members ?? might be too many to count even using fingers & toes  :)

Does this number reflect "all" the coal burners on this continent? Or just the ones with computers? Congrats on your success, and hopefully the numbers will continue to climb. It's a "revolution"! :)
I got coal in my Christmas stocking. (Yey!)

this number only reflects registered users... the fact is their are generally 25 "unregistered" users (lookers/readers) for every "member" (example: Im online now at 5am with only 1 other reg. user, yet their are 40 people viewing the forum right now)... the reality is this forum is becoming an intrical part of coal burning and soon anyone with a computer and coal burning product will have ventured past this forum at some point in their lives (EVERYONE with a computer & a coal burning product!).... thats pretty major stuff.

That number reflects members that have made at least one post, accounts with 0 posts and no activity over 6+ months are purged. I just went and purged up to the first of July. Spammers get sent to to the trash and those posts are purged after one year, the account shortly after because now it's a 0 post account.

Currently it would be about 20K if they were never purged. There is currently a couple hundred spammers in the 7500 number from the huge amount that signed up over the summer.

dcrane, I do like your idea of buying a mine , but does that mean each member has to dig/load/haul their own??

titleist1,you got that right, the loading & hauling wouldn't be so bad, just as long as the loading is a front end loader or auger/conveyer/hopper chute, but the digging might be similar to wood ..cutting/splitting/piling ,yep piling,we gave up stacking a few years ago,we now just pile it, sounds kinda like what you guys do with coal !!
