Saw it! Pretty cool. Watched for about 90 seconds and then it's disappeared.

Not me either, to low of a elevation..

I'm relatively close to the ocean. Figured I had a good spot.

@Lsayre: you could do some serious deep sky astrophotography with that big mirror. I'm using a Celestron Nexstar 127 SLT. Yeah, the alt-az drive and single fork limit what I can do. I have a tank of a tripod with a tilt table head which creates an equatorial wedge of sorts. Got an off axis guider and SBig CCD camera. Still trying to pull it all together. Had hoped to know what I was doing before ISON arrives. HOPEFULLY, the comet won't fizzle!

Motor driving a 30" mirror telescope in order to do astrophotography with it is way beyond my means. If I ever finish it, it will be a push driven (Dobsonian) alt-az scope that will not be capable of seeing use for astrophotography.
