Pottsville Area Harmony Coal Burners?

This is a idea I had for anyone in the Pottsville, PA area like me who currently has (or would like to have) UAE Harmony Mine coal delivered to their home. I'm sure everyone has noticed the slight increase in price to have coal delivered, especially from Harmony. The hauler that I use suggested that if I could find a couple of others in the area to get a load delivered on the same trip, then the cost would be lower all around... So I thought it would be a good idea for everyone that wants Harmony coal delivered to be in contact with each other, and try to coordinate deliveries at the same time. I know that we won't all necessarily need coal delivered at the same time, but it's a good opportunity to save a little on delivery cost! Especially if money's tight and you can only afford a couple tons, and don't want to get hit with that high delivery rate...

well UAE cost me $170 a ton if I go and get it myself. What would your delivered price be??? I use nut sized coal.

Obviously if you have the means to pick up your coal, then your going to save a lot of money. I do not have a way to pick it up myself, so I have it delivered. Either way, I'm willing to pay a little extra to have Harmony coal delivered vs. Reading or some of the others.
Last year I could get 3 to 4 tons delivered for $205 per ton. This year with coal and gas prices going up, it costs me $215 per ton. If I could afford to have 5 or six tons delivered (or more) as opposed to only 3, the cost would drop...

Not sure how you have your coal bin set up, but I have a 3/4 pick up box trailer if you need to borrow it. I typically get a 1.5 tons in it. Let me know.

Thanks, dtzackus for the offer on your trailer! I'll definitely let you know if I chose to go that route, I appreciate it...
