Our temps are dropping too but not as bad as you Mainers. My sons in laws live in Brule Wisconsin. Here's their forecast.

600 Lbs up near the house, 3000 Lbs in the yard, 6500 Lbs in the "Coal Shed" we are good :D

high of 11* low of 5* today, hasnt been this cold for a high temp all yr. good test for the boiler as we don't get much cooler than tonights lows shops stil 55, house 70, lovin it! :D :D

7* here on the hill this AM--8---5 gal. pails filled & real handy. I hope the horses can figure out how to get into the feed shed & hay barn---I'm not goin out in this nonsense! :clap: toothy Supposed to get cold tonight :eek2:

I just checked the temperature on the porch...there isn't one. :lol: Dead center on 0, but the NW wind is giving it some extra "bite" outside. Tonight/tomorrow morning is supposed to be the coldest of the week.

Heck those horses got more sense than we do! They'll figure it out in a NY Min. ;)

We got the old Elberta Clippah coming our way for the next 5 days! -12° tonight! :shock:

YIKES!!!! I thought we were cold at 9 with about a 15 knot wind but minus 33 makes me glad we are where we are at in NE PA. It's currently 9 with a forcast high of 11. We have 72 in the living room with 65 in the upstairs bedrooms. Our little LL Econo1 blower is running heating the whole house. It is purring along at 500F measured by a magnetic contact thermometer just above the top door.

Momma is sitting in her rocking chair in front of the coal stove and the cat is asleep in her lap.

It's a Norman Rockwell moment. :D :D :D
