One of the worst days of the year is when I let my coal fire go out. Ive ran an awful long time with under 3 ton this year. Will be 6 months soon. But when its gone, its gone. Damned wood then, lol

Relit again last Thursday and got a few more bags of nut. Looks like Tuesday is gonna be warm but the rest of the week keeping the stove on a slow burn and adjusting windowstats as needed is the plan. Running low on rice for the boiler as well.

I had let mine go out also but relit last week and it looks like it will be on idle all this week.
I’m working on my last ton of nut coal.

Running with air vent 1/2 turn open and some windows open too!

3-5" of snow forecast here for tomorrow night and Wed. morning.

Enjoy the last weeks of your stoves gents. I disassembled, vacuumed, and polished mine for the summer, last Sunday. As much as I might be tempted, I'll be on oil again, before I dirty my clean stove.

Well with that beautiful stove I can understand not wanting to dirty it up for a couple weeks of heating. With my simple Harman the clean up is relatively easy so I don't mind relighting it.

At least with your Harmon, you get to "visually" enjoy the beauty of a burning coal bed. Stay warm.
