Here's One for You Electronics Guys -- a TESLA GENERATOR

I got an email with a link to building your own Tesla generator. Sounds to me like a total scam, but some parts of it were believable, so I figured I'd ask you electronics gurus what you think of this.

They claim you can build a small one for $2, & it will power a cell phone. Then, they'll sell you blueprints for $47, & you can build big ones that will run everything in your home. They also claim "big energy" is trying ot shut the site down, so you'll buy fast ( another red flag ...).

The plans for the $2 one involve: 4 Germanium diodes (1n34), 2 100uF 50V electrolytic capacitors, and one .2uF 50V ceramic capacitor -- they claim this will power a cell phone using energy that is in the air.

If you have time, watch the video & tell me what you think.

If it were real, instead of only making $47 to sell the information, they could build it themselves and sell the FREE energy.

Anything that sounds too good to be true.....usually is. Something that small, would make a spark, that's about it. I doubt it would do much or get anything from the air.

Any small camera that has a flash, pretty much is a tesla generator. High voltage generator with a storage capacitor.

Kinda like powering your car with water....build the kit for less than $50.

Years ago, their were alot of people selling books ,programs on how to make a fortune on real estate, they made more on selling the program then they ever did on the real estate. They would rent the big houses ,boats, etc. to give the illusion of wealth. ACTORS

Trying to find a web review of someone that actually bought the book
or made the device is impossible. Whoever is hawking this book is
really a web genius. Links are circular and reviews are not available.
It would be interesting to write a review and see if it gets blocked.
Use another site, not this one.

If you just conect a high impedance meter to a wire laying on your floor you will get power, lots of wire would probalby light a small neon indicator, but pull the main on the house, and it goes out.
I seam to remember it works best if you have floresent lights.

Tesla was probably the greatest inventor who ever lived, but he was trying to distribute electricity through the air, not generate it. The generators he invented are the ones used today to generate electricity. His funding was pulled by J.P. Morgan when he discovered that there was no way to bill the customers.

I think it was in 1943 that Tesla received recognition as the inventor of radio from the patent office, having preceded Marconi. He had just died in poverty.

That link is a scam.

Actually I used to hook up a germanium diode to a 50 microamp panel meter and it would bounce the needle according to the local WGBI AM radio stations modulation. Who started that thread about tin foil hats? You are getting beamed everyday, I guess it affects some more than others.

That's what I figured. Always be skeptical of things that sound too good to be true. If you get 50 people to buy that for $47 bucks, you made almost 5 grand - not bad!

Marketing, marketing, marketing. Get rich just by marketing a piece of cr@p.
Just don't call it a Perpetual Motion Machine, and someone will buy it.

You would need 100 customers to make $4700. A fine flim flam man you would make.

You forgot to add in the padded S&H charges.

Ever see one of the perpetual motion machines? They power themselves  an electric motor/ generator that produces more electric than it uses. From what I understand, as soon as they talk about heat being produced, it can't be true, heat is a loss of energy.

Hmmm...Permanent magnets and gravity. Why didn't I think of that? toothy
