Russia is constantly holding a gun to the head of Europe in the form of the flow of natural gas, so once we learn how to safely and effectively transport it across the pond where we can get far more money for it and relieve the European NG crisis of Russian making while rolling in dough at the same time, the flow of NG will take that route. Goods and services will naturally flow towards the highest bidders. And once that happens, if you want some to remain flowing here you will need to match or exceed the price that Europeans are willing to pay for it.

A similar situation exists for coal, as the Chinese have loads of our money to spend, and they are currently buying our coal with it so we must pay more if we expect any to remain here for our own use.

Democracy rests upon the principle that collective wisdom arises from a pool of individual ignorance. A Republic rests squarely upon objective law, and fundamentally upon those laws which restrict the scope and actions of government.

Speculators have been driving up the prices of gasoline when there was a gut of supply so it really depends on what the speculators want to do.

With natural gas stores bursting at the seams, some of the nation's largest producers have announced plans to scale back production. Prices are going to rise either because of demand or companies scaling back production. Then everyone who switch over will be  .....

I'm with Wiz: screw me once, shame on me; screw me twice, shame on you!!!!
R U having trouble seeing the FOREST????? I KNOW, I KNOW! The Damned Trees are in the way!!!!

Don't let 'them' say: I told you so!!!!!! Smarten up, or follow all the rest of the sheep over the cliff!! If you haven't seen the surface over the cliff, be advised is is full of sharp rock structures and isn't very forgiving......

Remember back in the post WW2 era...coal was thrown "under the bus wheels" because the transportation and oil industries were ripe to take advantage of the newly war weary vets and their families....it was easier they said,
it was cheaper, it was more abundant and the supply was endless......sound like a broken record groove? Some of us made a commitment to not use oil or propane for heating needs many years ago...that is a personal decision and well researched
to end up where we are today. I REALLY like the fact that local jobs are protected, the money trail stays within our borders, and here is one I especially like: Not every coal miner wants to kill me, my family, or my way of life.
We are all in this together, and every time Mr Chavez spews fort more hatred, I try to remember my 46 years with a Citgo Credit Card has nothing to do with him. I still talk to Tulsa, OK if I have a problem, and they all speak English...well, it's kinda regional English....nuff said...bedtime for us ole farts.......
"Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a 'piece of human solid waste' by the clean end." More true today....
