I know I have another active thread but I thought this was a more specific / seperate question.

What does everyone do with their coal ash? I know with wood ash, people often feed their lawn with it...is this okay to do with coal ash also? I'm starting to accumulate quite a bit of this stuff. :D

I use mine for anti skid on my driveway sometimes. My neighbor takes the rest. He puts it on his driveway.

I use some ash as anti skid in the driveway....the rest I put out for trash pickup.
Just like in Jersey....they'll take anything as long as it's in a garbage bag with no legs or arms sticking out.....

I just got done spreading a bucket of ash/cinders on the ice on my driveway. Looks like we aren't going to warm up anytime soon, and the driveway is a pain to drive when it has ice on it.

I dump it in the woods. Every year the pile gets bigger. Eventually it will be a new parking spot.

Works great for that. Once it gets wet, then dries out, it's as hard as concrete ... just about. I put down ash about a foot deep by 10' long by my mailbox ... the mailman was parked at a 45° angle everytime they came by, so I figured I'd fix the hole with ash. Been working great for the last 3 years. 8-)
