As what could be the single biggest tax hike in the history of mankind is making it's way through Congress very few people even know exactly what it is let alone what the impacts could be according a to a Rasmussen poll.

Given a choice of three options, just 24% of voters can correctly identify the cap-and-trade proposal as something that deals with environmental issues. A slightly higher number (29%) believe the proposal has something to do with regulating Wall Street while 17% think the term applies to health care reform. A plurality (30%) have no idea.

That quite frankly is startling. No wonder they have been able to push this as far as it has gone, people don't even know what it is.

People should invest some of their precious time and get involved and see whats going on in washington dc. It doesn take much time.

Im glad im one of the few americans who knows what cap and trade is and how it will help in the destruction of capitalism and our country.

I would imagine most of the people who didnt know what cap and trade is were obama voters/supporters. Polls proved they were the dumbest and most uninformed voters. so its not to surprising they don't know what cap and trade is.

Theres even new data to support that most people don't approve of obamas plans like cap and trade the bailout taking over gm etc ... but yet he still has a 60 some percent approval rating. Something doesnt mesh with that. These dumb people voted for the man blindly and then when they find out what he wants to do they don't support it. Somethings gotta give eventually. If we actually had fair and balanced media coverage, Obamas would have extremely low approval ratings and more then likely wouldnt of even won the democrat nomination to run for president let alone win.

I bet they will be asking a lot of questions when they get the bill for it.

We should all try doing our own informal poll, can't be done here for obvious reasons. Ask the neighbors or your fellow office workers if they know what it is. I'm interested in the results myself.
