Hello board.

In my basement I have a pile of coal that is about
2' X 6' X 12' the coal is big chunks. I have read about pea and nut coal but the stuff I have is much larger than peas or nuts. I also have a HUGE coal / wood furnace and a smaller coal stove down in the basement. Using these is not realy an option due to age and condition of my chimneys.

So I am looking to get rid of this coal. Is it worth anything if so how much? Is there a demand for this size coal? Is anybody interested in it?

I am in South Westeren NH.

Thanks

Sound like lump coal. Probably soft soal. It will burn like wood, and put off some soot. Here in Ohio, last year it was around 90 dollars a ton.

I might be interested in removing the coal for you if you get no takers on purchasing it. I've not tried burning soft coal before but I'd try some for the heck of it.
I'm located in central NH but work down in Manchester. Send me an E-mail or PM if you'd like.
