The future of solar is here ... Prices are falling but still profitable..

PJM still slow to accept lower cost energy... Helping fossil fuel to stay alive...

Renewables are good everywhere ... There is no limit...

What about the canals ... They need cover and will generate needed energy....

A perfect solution to two problems... Doesn't interfere with agriculture ...

https://www.pbs.org/newshour/economy/solar-panels ... widespread

https://www.yakimaherald.com/news/nation_and_worl ... vaporation.

This is a no brainer... Kill two birds with one stone...

Better yet BigBarney !

Create a device that would generate electricity from the action of the opening and closing of people's mouth when eating.

Then attach to every fat person.

Endless energy.

Except for the huge amount of food you would have to supply...

There's no free lunch...

I welcome the day when the renewable energy option from my utility is less expensive than traditional sources. Presently checking the "renewable" box adds about 0.02 to the cost per Kwhr.

Solar panels are increasing global warming because they are black. The president is proposing we paint our roofs white, I assume solar panels aren't far behind. Stock up on white paint boys.

Yup, the future of solar. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/new-york-battery ... alth-risks

Not only does the creation of solar panels contaminate the ground and air, when the installation catches fire from the lithium batteries that they are wired to, it contaminates the ground, air and water in that location. Good thing we're going green for the planet.

I am waiting for them to add a box for “100% St Lawrence Hydro power”. Cheap, clean, and always on. 8-)

Has that water level ever fallen far enough to shut down generation since it was first built?

No, the St Lawrence has a fairly consistent flow compared to many rivers. Occasionally they spill excess water through the Long Sault Dam.

The first year I camped next to the river they opened the gates on Long Sault at midnight, the roar of the water was unreal.
