Chimney Height

How high of a chimney is suggested for a manual coal stove. :confused:

That kinda depends on your house specifications and where you want to put it. Not sure on what you are asking...

The height of the chimney that would be needed if all codes were being met prescribed by NFPA.

I increased the height of the chimney another 3 ft. and saw a tremendous improvement in performance. :D

My gut says 15 feet minimum, but add 3 feet for each elbow, 5 feet for each tee in the hookup and add a foot for each 3 feet of horizontal pipe.

It takes "THREE" 45* elbows to restrict flow the same amount as "ONE" 90* elbow.

Yes, 15 feet, and 2 feet above the peek of house, if within 10 foot of peak.
