Blower Temp Controler??

Modern and vintage hand fired coal stove are similar to a wood stove and in some cases can burn either. They need to be regulated and fed by hand usually every 12 to 24 hours depending on your usage. They require no power to operate making them ideal for rural settings with long power outages.

I have a Harman Mark III and was wondering if they make a thermastat for the blower instead of having toplug the blower in each time it is needed.

Got me a light timer....$8 or so at HD. Set it to go off 1/2 hour before I get up in the morning and 1/2 hour before I get home. Works great!

If you want your blower to run when the stove is up to temp, you might want one of these.

They make one of these that you can just plug your blower into that's not much more expensive either.
(I have mine hooked up to an appliance timer. I find that more useful)

Thanks for the replies but I was looking for something that if the room temp drops below 70 that the blower would kick on til the room gets the set temp. Any ideas?

Here is an example of one that you can wire to work either way - to turn on when the stove is too hot or to turn on when the room is too cool.

I looked on-line at that device and it is EXACTLY what I am looking for....the problem is that they do not ship to the USA. First, I tried to order on-line, and when that wouldn't work I called them direstly. They told me that they do not ship tp the U.S. Any ideas on how I can get one of these?
(PS - I have already tried doing "product search" on several websites including Grainger, MSC Supply, Northern Tool, Leviton, and Home Depot)
Thanks, Bob M

My thanks to Kzad....

That's EXACTLY what I was looking for! I just went to the website and ordered one. Total was $26.95 including the shipping. Thanks again, Kzad

I wouldn't think more than 2-3 amps if that.

Hey Ashcat....

I also had some concerns (and still do a little) about amps. I should have asked (like you did) but instead I just took the plunge for $26.95. I figured (hoped) that I'd be okay as this device was marketed as a device for wood stove blowers. If you can wait a few days we can use me as a gunea pig.
