I just acquired a model 523 (Warm Morning). Does this burn both wood or coal? If it does burn coal, does anyone know what kind of coal would burn best? I'm quite the novice and would like to begin using the stove. Thanks in advance for any insight.

These can burn wood, soft or hard coal with soft coal being most common.
These are good stoves IMO.

Here is a link to a thread on this forum with good info.

I am so glad to see more activity and interest in the Warm Morning Stoves! I have the model 400. They do burn wood, but they were designed to burn coal, bituminous in particular.
