I purchased a Franco Belge stove used last year and am preparing to fire it up. The glass is discolored and I want some advice on cleaning.

I use "white" vinegar and get good results. I've replaced my ceramic glass panels once in the 20 years I've been burning my stove. If your glass is "sulfur etched" and it appears it is, and won't come clean, then you'll have to replace the panels.
