With the much needed help of coal berner, he got my 1st coal fire in the Gibraltar LCC going the other morning. My 1st two attempts of the fire tended to fill up the room with smoke. Once he had it going, the basement was a nice 85 and the upstairs was a very warm 80. I really enjoyed watching the "blue ladies" dance in the stove and could not believe how much nicer the coal heater was compared to the P.O.S. gas unit we had in the past. I guess the old saying of once you go black (coal), you never go back. lol
Again, a big thanks to Coal Berner! His wisdom and knowledge of coal and willingness to help me out is what makes him a great friend.
