Hey everyone! I'm going to be selling my Franco Belge because it's just not able to keep up with the colder winter temps when it goes below 28 degrees outside. So, I'm looking at a Gibraltar SCR model that has been refurbished with new firebrick and also has been repainted. What is your opinion on this particular stove. I need something that will give me a good 60,000 BTUs. I think this one is rated at up to 70,000

Here’s some search links to sift through that should provide you with some insight.

Good stoves. I have been burning a similar Glacier Bay for over 30 years and I bought it used. Make sure everything is in good shape because parts could be hard to find.

- Coal Size/Type: Buck in the Allen and anything goes in the MCC, Anthracite
- Other Heating: None, maybe some wood in the MCC in the shoulder season
I have the MCC model I really like the Gibraltar stoves they are built like tanks!

Thank you folks, for the good input. I'll most likely go with this. I think the SCR model puts out a max of about 70,000 BTU's which is more in the range of what I need for my house.
