Hand Fed Coal Stove: Florence hot blast

Post by Stevejo » Sat. Mar. 25, 2023 12:09 am

Can anyone steer me to some info on this thing? Like year or model number?
Or where to find the info on th stove itself maybe? I’ve hit the end of the internet and haven’t seen one like it yet.

Ok. May have discovered some info on this thing, but still can’t find any online references to it. Maybe it just wasn’t that popular a model ?
Model 81? 81-22?
Found a casting stamp on the front below loading door and, of all places, on the INSIDE of the stove. On the front panel at top. Pics below.
Anyone know any source where I can get specs or info for this beast?

If you can figure out what store sold them, look thru old catalogs online, or ads in appropriate magazines. Ive seen a lot of cabinet stoves here when i was young burning soft coal. Hardly see them anymore as no soft coal is here anymore.

Apparently it was from the
“C. Emerich company, Columbus Ohio”
No 81.
Even though it says “Florence hot blast” on the front.
And what an odd place to have a casting stamp. IN the firebox area. Wth.
That and 8 bucks will get me a Starbucks whatever. lol. Must really be some obscure information.
