Dear members

I have a coal furnace 48kw which heats our home through water ( radiators and underfloor heating )

This furnace as in picture comes with two doors one in bottom to take ashes and clean and top door to feed coal by hand.

When you close both doors there is a fan in side which puts air from bottom from under fire grate to the top where coal burns.

Before I was burning anthracite coal and now I burn brown coal - in both cases fan blows air from under to the fire.

Anthracite was high quality coal and was doing well - brown coal is low quality its making lot of ashes not burning completely and have to refill faster...I guess efficiency of burning is bad since I read up that blowing air just from under fire doesn't burn completely.

Now I want the coal furnace to take air automatically natural from primary and secondary air.

Does it make sense to try do you have anything to correct me or any idea - atatched you have pictures.
