We’ll see if the money spent will save me money .
Personally, I don't consider a baro or MPD to be fuel saving devices. From what I've seen they only offer better control of the fire. If better control of the fire prevents overheating of the house, then yes there is coal saved. That's just my own opinion. Excessive air needs to be pulled thru the stove that doesn't contribute to combustion in order for excessive heat to go up the chimney, or the fire would need to exceed the transferability of heat thru the stove. But by that time you'd be overheating the house again.

Update with the barometric . Running good consistent .05 w/c . Stove temps are a little higher and stove pipe is a tad cooler. Seems to be a little more raw coal on top . This week I will weight and track the temperatures , to compare .

The heat exchanger on the sides and front seem to be more closer to temperatures in relation to the side . It seems to have more heat distribution. Being the stovetop is more warmer than before .

The stove sits under our master bedroom and I noticed there is more circulation throughout the house.

Thanks for all the help guys . It’s working well

As Freetown Fred has said so often, if you’re happy, then we’re happy.

Well done!
