Removing all the cast iron parts and installing firebrick in the firebox has definitely increased the time and temperature when burning wood . Can’t believe I bought those baffles for 300-in 2012 could’ve been running brick the entire time, no cracks all brick and cement joints are still tight ( my makeshift baffle is holding solid , thought for sure it would’ve come loose from heat expansion it’s notched and wedged into place ) just running wood from 7 pm ish to cut the humidity so 3 4” x14” and 1-2 splits for the reload are keeping stove going till 2-3 am
