That’s what I was saying, the pressure correlates with volume/mass, speed, and therefore heat loss up the stack should be able to be calculated. That was a guesstimate…and wasn’t sure how to figure it out without further looking into it, which you have done.
That then should allow for calculating heat loss using fans in the 503 versus not using them.

Pressure won't matter. We only need to know the temperature change of the incoming and outgoing gases and the flow rate.
An estimate on flue gas flow rate can be calculated by how much coal is consumed.

Can also be calculate with manometer too, right? That’s what I thought my directions said. Maybe I’m mistaken.
