Rice in the hitzer

Stoker Coal Boiler: axeman anderson 260
Hot Air Coal Stoker Furnace: channing III (retired)
Hand Fed Coal Stove: russo cw2 (backup)
Coal Size/Type: rice chesnut nut

Neighbor friend believes he has to use stove size coal. "It all falls through my grate! " He whines

I have 8 tons of rice to use up and this burns just fine thank you.

Damn Scott--I know that took some thinkin cause--it's gottcha stutterin!!! :lol: I think the lack of back bricks (strange) threw me off yesterday!!! Good call. :)

30-95 bingo.. I'm supposed to have back bricks? I picked this up used and it never occurred to me.

My axeman is working fine, Im redoing my Dr Suess plumbing, it's been such a mild fall I got behind on it.

You should be able to find those bricks at any TSC W. probable need to cut ONE down,

Good to know, I'll have to look at a diagram of where the metal goes.

I'm surprised there isnt more of a heat baffle on the design. But the damper works great at keeping heat loss regulated

The hopper was the baffle. Without the hopper, you'd need a damper of some kind.
