Still have not turned on the oil heat...the mark 2 on 1 side of house at 72 right now..mark 3 on other chugging away with that room at 70....night Temps outside mid 20s...hoping pipes won't freeze without circulation from boiler?

Yeah, I've been thinking about my pipes, too. This is my first year heating with coal in this house, and I also have an oil-fired boiler that only comes on to heat my water. Otherwise, the pipes to the radiators are not circulating any hot water at this point. Should be interesting. But I do have my pipes in the basement wrapped, so I'm hoping that will help.....

Same here...I've been wrapping the pipes in basement every chance I get..I'm just worried about the ones in the outside walls...
