Decided to light my second stove yesterday.
I think when it consistently doesn't get over 50 the house cools down pretty fast especially when lows are below 30.
It might be easier to maintain a warm house than heat up a cold one.
10 day forecast Lows in the 20's, highs low 40's.

Yeah, same here. I'm gonna fire up the GW base heater today. The kitchen range is just not enough when temps get below freezing and no sunshine.

It most certainly is. My 3000SF barn takes a good bit of coal to get it warm if i let it get too cold. lots of hardware on 3 floors to soak up the heat (or cold). Then just a few pounds to keep it there. Looks like shoulder season is over,winter is here early.

Callin for temps in 20's with 2--4" of white stuff here on the hill Tues. night. Just a dustin last night & today. Guess it's time to put the Wheel Horse up!!!

Looks like the snow/ice will miss me. Central Pa. to NE Pa. will get it. Lows in the 20's every night except Tues. night. Down in the teens for nighttime lows next Sat, Sun. and Mon. Almanac people may be right. Got 'er relit yesterday.
