I recently acquired a working coal stove and I am having trouble identifying it. All I have is a photograph for now. I can’t seem to figure out exactly what type and brand this is. I need to put a value on it. It’s a potbelly style with a “No. 24” on the front door. Has anyone seen this before or know what this? Any idea on the value?

Station Agent #24 made by Union stove works Peekskill(spelling)N.Y 1890-1910.Pot belly stove. Used to heat waiting room in train stations back in the day or very large rooms. Has a hugh 24 inch diameter fire bowl/ fire area.

Looks complete, has the round mitten/glove drying bar around center, that usually missing.

300-500 dollars as-is depending on your location, maybe little bit more.

You sure know your stoves. Looks like the externals are in good shape. Is that a coal burner or wood burner?

H51, both. Firepot should have some kind of refactory lining put on inside to protect firepot from further damage from use.

Outrageously expensive to recast a 24 inch fire pot.

I sit on the Board of Directors at The Antique Stove Association group.
