Ladies and Gentlemen,
It is time for this Atlanta gal to put out her coal fire until next November or December. Had a great time with you as always. I amazed myself by keeping the fire going even at 70°. But all good things must come to and end....for awhile. I will be checking in on y'all.

Me too, May 15th is typically the day we turn the thermostat down and just have DHW. Our normal heating season runs from September 15th to May 15th.

You should move to Northern NY. This is from a few years back but it looks the same today.

Just 40 miles north of Binghamton. Woke up to zero degrees this am - which happened a lot this month. And this past January was the second coldest on record for CNY. :o

Gonna be shoveling coal into both stoves a while longer. :D

Got about 25 buckets of coal left. That will keep the 30-95 going into April. When it's gone that's the end of my coal heating season.

I’m running really low on coal, about a weeks worth left in my bin. I just ordered another ton to get me through the rest of the season. I’ll have extra for the start of next season!!

Here I currently am running 2 TLC 2000's. One in the main living area and one in the off rooms. The main living area will probably run till the end of April and the other one will end just as soon as I am sure that the average temp is above freezing, as I can close my off rooms and won't have to worry about anything freezing.

Since firing up on Halloween I have burned 4.5 tons so far through the EFM. Not sure on the Chubby Jr....maybe 400 lbs? I will probably burn coal until Memorial Day.
