Haa, Thanks for the laugh Fred..
I knew that was’nt gonna make alot of sense to other people..
I’ll get the wife to help me post a picture tomorrow..
There’s no way this chimney is getting above my highest roof line, not a chance.. picture needed..

I think Fred is worried that your chimney isn't high enough. If wind comes over higher roof it can push down on chimney causing problems for draft. What is the issue with the grate frame?

Welp, that’s what I figured too..
But this stack/chimney is on the west side of the house, that’s where 99% of our wind comes from..
I had a BlazeKing-Princess on this same stack for 3 winters without any draft issues..

Mostly oak The last 2 years Fred,
This year was a mix, mostly cherry, as I bought dry wood from a tree guy friend of mine..
He’s the only guy around that I know of that has DRY wood..
Heading out to take a few pictures in a minute..

OK--height looks good--S, do you have ash pan vents open 1/8" ? Gaskets are good--are you tending every 12 hrs? ( give her about 6 good shakes) You asked about leveling out firebox after tendin--NO--stop fckn with the old girl & let her do what she was meant to do. Make sure hopper is full. Poke sides once a week or so. Do NOT play with bi-metallic adjustment--set her around 6-7 & let her be--for sub-zero ya can crank er up a tad. This is NOT a wood stove--forget everything ya know about burning wood. Once ya get all this, you're gonna be real happy with this stove. :)

I do not have ashpan vents open, just running with bi-metalic, and running quite well.. I found my sweet spot on the setting for what our weather is the next few days..
Yep, shaking about every 12 hours, keeping hopper full..
Thanks for confirming, no need to mess with coal bed.. I’m not really messin with it at all, other than what’s obviously needed… shake/add fuel/dump ashes..
Stove temp is hovering right around 335 deg. Garage is 74, Was wondering how low I can go when temps get warmer outside ??
