I'm sure this has been asked before, but does anyone use a stack heater on a Hitzer 50/93? When I have it ripping pretty good I see stack temps like 180/190 (outer surface) which makes me think there's enough heat in the pipe for a stack heater to work. Thoughts? Are they worth the effort? Also, I see temps of 475 to 510 or so on the top of the stove, right above the firebox. can it go more or is that about enough for that stove?

If my memory serves me--it's been tried with lil satisfaction--personally I've got a ceiling fan real close above mine & that distributes the heat well. I also got one of them thar eco-fans ( the $20.00 special) that moves the heat somewhat but not real impressive. Might be if I got the $150.00 model I might be happier, but not worth that kinda $$$ to me.
