You can do that, but it's easy to forget to close the overfire draft once the coal gets going. If you add the fresh coal a little at a time and leave some burning coal exposed you won't have this problem.efo141 wrote:My New yorker and my freinds Harman Manual both say to leave the overfire spinners open some until the coal is burning to prevent coal gas from building.
