My stove won't fit! I need help
I'm about to have a heart attack. Please help guys. Winter is upon us, and because of supply chain issues I was JUST Able to get my stove. This is our only source of heat. I ordered a buck model 24 as I was told it would fit in my space, but after dragging the stove up a cliff today and getting it situated, I'm running into a serious alignment issue. I've attached photos below. (They're sideways for some reason) What are my options? Custom built adapter ? Knock out stone from the back of the fireplace to scoot the stove back further? Or... Plasma cut the metal shelf/baffle bracket that's in the way to fit a regular adapter. As you can see in the photo, the collar does not align with the opening and the elbow is not going to cut it. Please tell me I'm not SOL.

If the stove needs to go up.....brick it under the legs........down...remove the legs. No 'heart attacks' allowed!!!!!
Cheers

Burner welcome to the forum. They do make off set adapters that bolt to the top of the stove, I had the same issue with a buck stove insert I had. Bad angle and my stove opening was square and needed it round to fit a chimney liner. It was solid steel a buddy gave it to me. I don’t know where he found it. Search the internet I’m sure you can find one.

Is that elbow 6” ? How big is the stove collar ?
Turn the crimped adjustable segment of the collar so it is as horizontal and straight out as possible. Raise the stove with bricks or whatever to get the elbow centered in the stove collar, buy an adapter, or make one if you have to.
Ace, Menards, Tractor supply etc all have smoke pipe and accessories call around. Striking out there, call a heating installation company that does sheet metal work. Just make sure it’s heavy gauge and tightly formed, no galvanized metal
Good luck

I'm gonna run with D. Kinda looks like a brick or so under each leg would get ya where ya belong--tough tellin with the pix but that's how it looks to this old farmer
Thankful there's some options. Heart attack adverted! I can't raise the height because the back of the fireplaces firebox is pitched diagonally toward the face. The higher I lift the stove, the further out to the face of the firebox the stove will go, thus giving me less height to work & pushing the collar even further under that 1/4" steel baffle. (I think it's a baffle )
I'm sorry I didn't list the collar size. Yes it is 6"!

I'm going to make some calls tomorrow and see if there's any adapters like this I can get. I don't see anywhere on top of the stove to bolt too. Did you have to drill and tap the holes ? Only other thing I can think of is getting a custom fabricator to weld something up.
Does anyone know what kind of gauge steel I should be looking for if I had to have an elbow coming out of the stove and using nut anthracite? Also with an elbow being turned 90° so sharply, would I have to worry about airflow draft issues. It would have to turn 90° sharper than a regular 6" 90.

I just drilled my stove put a bead of hi temp silicone and fastened with stainless self taping screws. About your elbow Rockford Chimney sells a flex swivel adapter that’s moves anyway you need it to it comes in stainless for coal useage.
That's what I'm wondering. Not sure if it will work with my freestanding stove, but it looks a lot more low profile than some of the other options

You will be better served to put bricks under the feet of the stove. They can be cut to fit if need be. Should be no reason not to be able to use an extension (6 inches to 1 foot if needed) to move the stove further out.
Take a photo further away so we can see what’s going how much room you have to move the stove forward as well as up with bricks and shims.
