I never saw any summer pricing here. I don't think it's going to climb like everything else, no shortage per say.

The guy I buy from was able to secure last years pricing on a load 2 months ago. He was also able to line up a local trucker that was running empty from PA so that helped keep costs down for transport as well.

They say reason for increase? Seems late for it to be an end to summer pricing.LDPosse wrote: ↑Sat. Oct. 02, 2021 10:57 pmI picked up 3.18 tons today at Lehigh for $175/ton. Price is going up to $185 as of Monday. I will have to go back for about 3 more tons to get thru the winter.

Had a ton and a half left over from last year. Got two ton delivered at $212.00 a ton this past August. That will probably get me through the coldest winter, as I only used 2 tons last winter and that was mostly pea. Man I can't believe how efficient this TLC is. Especially when you add extra firebricks so I can really bank it.
I think between the greenies and inflation the coal prices will be going up next year for sure.

Depends on when orders are placed. My guy normally sells 300 tons in a year and stocked more this spring than I have ever seen. Most of that has dissappeared and the new orders coming in will be $10/ ton more. Transport costs. People are starting to stock pile my guess. Got me thinking of building more storage. Coal prices here were steady nearly 4 years before this January.waytomany?s wrote: ↑Sun. Oct. 03, 2021 6:46 amThey say reason for increase? Seems late for it to be an end to summer pricing.
I called a few weeks ago to see when Saturday sales would be starting. They said there was a $10 discount on 9/18 and 10/2, with normal prices resuming afterwards.waytomany?s wrote: ↑Sun. Oct. 03, 2021 6:46 amThey say reason for increase? Seems late for it to be an end to summer pricing.
