If thats as full as your filling it theres room for more coal, unless theres something Im seeing wrong (always possible). Or is that after shaking? It would be ok then.

I had one stove with a hopper and they do save time loading. Takes away some fire view though. Bimetalic dampers are real nice. Good steady temp with them without a baro. Hard to say which of the two I'd want first.

I had a baro with a bimetallic on the DS. I needed it for the bituminous coal but it work fine that way with anth.

Coal Size/Type: Rice, Pea, Chestnut and whatever will fit through the door on the Harman
Other Heating: Noth'in but COAL! Well, Maybe a little tiny bit of wood

Newest addition to the Kodiak. Variable speed control for the blower fan. Thought I'd like to experiment with slowing the fan down a bit. $18 off Amazon.
