First a big "Thank You" to 'Holdencoal' for posting this in the 'Found on the Web' section!!!
Have a older 503 that I picked up in Watkins Glen, just a short 9 hr drive but great Wineries...
She needed a few parts replaced but I was holding off for some unknown reason...
The 503 that I have works great but does not have the improved damper and baffle of the newer 503 model...
Had just given her a good sanding and paint job...
All piped up and burning on Saturday...
Its been warm and oil was cheap...
I am wandering through Coalpail and I see...
The listing for a free 503...
Figured it would be a basket case but might make a good parts donor...
Held out hope as the picture had her with the damper I wanted and the location was promising...
Had to pack and run as rain was coming in quick...
But looked real good while I stripped her down for the ride home...
I'll take a better look in the morning...
