Lots of chatter here about that. I don’t care what they call it so long as they put it on sale again. LOL!

They did sell Kimmels for a little while. I thought it burned really well.

Don’t know who supplied TSC with what I bought last year, but I agree...it burned real nice. Just not washed very well...but I can live with that if I am careful loading.

They raised the regular price today here again to $8.99/bag, LOL Other side of the river is still 6.99, still too high unless its on sale. I liked Kimmels too. I'll take Blaschak any day over TSC but if its cheap then TSC is ok.

Just opened my third bag of it for the Clayton. It sure gets hot fast. Stove shot up to 550 in no time and took a while to bring it back down to 375. Hate to waste all that heat. I’d love it in single digits but it’s about 35 out. House got up to 90 fast. Fortunately or unfortunately rather, it cools off just as quick

For the cleaner coal I will drive 1hr 40 minutes to Hitzer to buy the Blashak. One trip per load/ton...and I get 2 tons, so that’s two trips for me...just because I want to support Hitzer and Blashak more than a chain store.

However, TSC is local at only 8 miles from home. Their coal burns really well with what seems a lot of volatiles...burns blue flames for a long time which means I can turn the stove down even more. At 2 for $10 price it is only $250 per ton. That sale saves me $2 a bag or $100 a ton where normal price here is $6.99 per bag. So the sale is the ticket...if it will ever go back on sale.

I can’t drive to Hitzer twice for that let alone once, but I will just to visit and look around and take a drive. Plus, by taking the drive I can have a choice of Blashak or Lehigh...which is more expensive. Choices are good and I try to support them both when I go to Hitzer. I really go way out of my way to support those companies when I could easily buy from the much closer TSC store.

Wish I had more options. It’s Tsc, the Amish or bit. I’m lucky I have those options though. Otherwise I’d be scrounging wood in an area where the farmer cut every hedgerow in sight, buying pellets, corn or even worse buying propane.

Hedge rows are all gone here for the most part. It’s not helping erosion issues either.

When I was stationed overseas many governments required hedgerows. That was 35 years ago. Dunno if they still do. Seems like they are a good thing to me but farmers always want just one more row in there fields.

Maybe they didn’t update their website. It’s the thing that says Kimmels. The bags just say nut coal.

Marketing ploy perhaps...Reading squawk is Bad...Kimmels talk is Good...promote the Good, who'll know the difference...
