I know there are a lot of people that are not in the Doulphin, Lebanon, Berks County's in PA. But if you are in this area, you might want to check out this Ace Hardware store. I bought 3 ton's of pea coal from them this past fall, and their 3 ton's were more than the other 3 ton's that I got from another supplier. I think I paid $225.00 a ton delivered. That was for white ash pea coal. I really liked the delivery, as for a few extra bucks, I didn't have to shovel the coal off the truck. I think they have 2 scissors jack trucks. Here is the website for Jono Coal.

And here is the current price of their coal.

Nice.
my coal man is a little closer to me. He's in Myerstown.
Not sure what his 2020-2021 price is yet, paid 208 a ton back in march for four tons.

If I'm right about thinking that your guy is Countryside ( coal yard is actually in Bethel, Berks co.) It was $209/ton for a minimum of 4 tons last Sept. I believe it was about $5-$10 additional per ton for less. Three years ago it was $191/ton.lincolnmania wrote: ↑Tue. Dec. 29, 2020 9:43 amNice.

The only other coal yard left in Berks is FM Brown's mills. Not sure which one of their locations sell the coal. Their website used to list Blaschak or Reading. Now Blaschak, Lehigh and Centralia.
Always good reports on the Ono people, but they're about 40-45 miles to me.

I think thet charge so much per mile, outside of a given area. I don't remember what the areas were, or how much per mile they charge, but I think the price was reasonable. I will do some research and see if I can find it.hank2 wrote: ↑Wed. Dec. 30, 2020 11:41 pmIf I'm right about thinking that your guy is Countryside ( coal yard is actually in Bethel, Berks co.) I guess you would need to call them to find out if there are any additional delivery fees.

Looks like free delivery up to 20 miles. Then $4.50 extra per loaded mile beyond that.

fm browns wanted more than countryside in 2017 when i needed a coal dealer. looks like jono hardware is just a little further from me than their delivery area, i live near douglassville and birdsboro.

When I ordered my 3 ton of pea, for the winter, They asked me if I wanted red ash, white ash, or a mix. I asked where the white ash came from, and they told me it was Blashack coal. So I told them white ask, and that's what I got, and it burns white, hot and good, with very little waste.
