Actually the hard work was trying to figure out why he kept loosing the fire. We never thought that the door studs were stripped out. Actually when the studs fell out, we really didn't have much to do, other than put the bolts thru the were the studs fell out. The stove was bought used, and the guy that sold it to my brother, must have rigged up the studs with something like JB weld, rather than either getting them welded in, or like we did, and put bolts thru, from were the studs were. Now its fixed right, and it is a much better repair than the original.

Mine came with the house and is way too big (BTUs) for the basement (see my photos, Coal leftover in the Stove. Reusable? ). I'm starting to figure it out.

So I called Legacy Stoves (AFTER I removed the top and bottom gaskets...genius  ) and the technician said they manufacture them with the gasket on the sides of the pane of glass but if I found the glass with it all the way around then the previous own must have had a drafting problem so he suggested going with it all around the glass. Clear as mud. :?

Or, they replaced the glass and went on the tubes and watched a video showing to install it all the way around and didn’t read the instructions.

Update. Changed the gasket on the door and the glass (per manufacturer). Works FANTASTIC!
