Yep...sounds possible. Both leaky chimney and leaky pipe helping. Would explain baro helping too.

That earthquake, though small, might be a possibility as well. If you suspect that, then an inspection needs done at some point before you spend more money and time on that chimney.

I only had it burning 24 hours prior. It $hit the bed almost right away. Prior to that was last year with the old leaky flue pipe. I’ll have to investigate this earthquake as I knew nothing about it and the news didn’t say anythingErik Carstens wrote: ↑Thu. Thursday’s earthquake was felt throughout most of Hunterdon County in New Jersey and in parts of Bucks and Northampton counties in Pennsylvania.Erik Carstens wrote: ↑Thu. Jan. 07, 2021 7:04 pmHere it is....

Roughly a dozen people reported that the tremor shook their houses but didn’t cause any damage.

Ah ok. So the areas that it was felt in PA are actually about 100-110 miles east of me. Prob why I didnt know about it. I doubt anything took place here or the news and paper would have picked it up. I know I never felt anything. The last earthquake I felt here was about 10–11 years ago. Dog got real squirrely then all of the sudden was just one single loud boom and house shook for a split second.

Lucky you! I wish it would get cold here but we are unfortunately considered sub tropical in this corner of the state. Cold and snow are what I love warm and rain is what I get lolfreetown fred wrote: ↑Fri. Jan. 08, 2021 4:44 pmNICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 9* here on the hill this AM

That's Hitzer weather. Let it rip. The blower helps when running the stove hard.BlackBetty06 wrote: ↑Sat. Jan. 09, 2021 7:42 amIt’s 20-22 degrees here(thermostat reads low) and still winds. Current conditions. Used one coal pail worth in 13.5 hrs
