I just found one at a yard sale. I'm thinking I should buy it for 400.00, looks like new. Any comments. Thanks in advance.

BUY IT NOW!!! A new one can't be bought until late December.. Maybe,, probably more like January.. A new one is around $1500. Buy it and if you don't like it you can sell it for a quick small proffit..

Don't hesitate,, it may be gone when you go back to buy it!!

Thanks LS, I just bought it. Here's my plan, I have a Mag Stoker on order it was supposed to be here in July, I didn't get it yet so I'm going to sit on the Mark II in case I have to use it .When I get the Mag I'll sell the Mark II, any idea what I should ask for the Mark II. Thank you so much, Craig.

Post a picture of it including the grates. If in very good condition, I wouldn't sell it for less than 1,300.00.

Buying it for $400 you can not go wrong. In normal times a Mark II depending on condition would sell for 1/3 to 1/2 of the new stove price. I got my Mark II for $500, it came with 10 bags of good coal, it had 500 lbs of coal burned in it and it sat unused for a year! When/if things get back to normal you will at least break even. Most importantly you have a good coal stove on hand for this season!

Glad to hear you got it.. and I like your plan. At least now you can burn coal if Harman can't deliver your Mag Stoker this season.

I would think that if you put it on ebay, cleaned up to look new, [wipe down the interior to remove ash, paint it if needed etc] Then I would bring over $1000.

With All the stove manufacturers running 4+ months to deliver a new order, there will be a real seller's market this fall and early winter.. right after everyone pays for their first oil tank refill..
