S, I know they make those clevis pins--find a DECENT hardware store & check them out--not sure they're called clevis pins but that's what came to what's left of my mind!!! LOL If ya find out, I'm probably due!! Let me know, I'll also look--we got a hardware that used to be a blacksmith shop. I'll check that out & get back to ya.

A good hardware store should have what you need.

Mcmaster has every kind of pin known to man, but you probably don't want a bag of 25. ;)

I do believe you are right Fred "Clevis Pins". Then drill out the old holes. Can also buy long hardened bolts, and cut off the threads. Use the unthreaded part. Just another thought...

Found an easy solution, those pins are 3/16", you need pins just a little bit bigger, 8mm is the right size or M8. I bought 2 bolts with 1 inch non threaded. For me it did work fine.

I would be careful of a hardened bolt. You want what is replaceable to be expendable. In other words, it's better to have the pins wear out than the hole wollered out in the hinge itself. Just my take on it. Either way, put some anti-seize on them.

They fit right in with a little loose. It reduces the up and down motion by 50%.

Just pointing out it is not 3/16, but closer to 5.

Ahhhh, your loose was up & down---interesting. My pins are actually part of the door. Having just checked, no play up & down or side to side. I'm a happy camper with a real old 50-93.
