I want to make a furnace and I’d like to design it like the 82. Does anyone have any details? I’ve never seen one. I have a pic of the firebox and there appears to be some odd vents in it that I don’t know how they function. Hope for some info soon

Thanks guys

Use the search function. I remember reading a post that explains how it functions. One of the online stores has good pics of that stove, inside and out. Woodheat .com or obadiahs I believe. Maybe also search for posts by corrosionman. He has that stove and I'm positive he mentioned something in a thread about what he would change about it if he could. You could pm him also.

Hello. The Hitzer 82 is basically a clone of the Riteway 37, and a few people have been nice enough to post some information about those - one member converted his Riteway into a stoker and posted a lot of pictures along the way.

I have the 2 cast iron 'vents' that are dimensioned the same as a firebrick and line up in firebrick rows.
These bricks bring some warmed air from below grates for some 'overfire air'.

I'd send them to you at only the cost of the shipping if you're serious to build this stove...

Member *KingCoal* home built a few stoves of his own, and has a strong stove background rooted in his inital fondness in the Riteway 37...you might call on him as well for questions and advice.

I have a bunch of photos of my Riteway 37 when I tore it down and refurbed it if theres something you need a pic of or measurements of. There arent very many differences. Hitzer has the air spinner on the door and I think they did the air holes differently in the burn chamber but not positive on that. Mine must have been an early model as it has a 6" stove pipe but I see why they went to 7" after using it.
