My old 404 is cooking in the basement, broken firepot, non working shakers and all. Saw 560 on top and 160 on the pipe about 3' from the stove on the chimney side of the MPD. Keeping my 1500 sq' basement and 1st level floors toasty.

Wow 17 degrees windy stove is chugging along at 500 but the limit I will take it with the fragile firepot. This is getting serious. Oh well tomorrow should be 30 so a help there. End of week back to 40/30. A sleep on the couch night as no way could I get second story warm in this weather. Furnace can keep it at 50 for now. I can not picture living further north.
