I like the rounded hearth!
I can run with it pretty warm outside but it seems like my draft will be lowest if there is a light wind from the east. Your results may vary.

Thank you Warminmn. I’m up on a high point it’s windy all the time. It hasn’t been a issue so far with the new coal stove and was never a issue with my old buck wood burning stove. However I’m keeping a extra close eye on the co detector.

Update not good lol after letting fire go 48 hrs between tendings I had too few hot coals to get her going again. She looked good mid afternoon but by 5 pm no strength left. I’m now a member of the two match club... oh well live and learn! But on the bright side I didn’t lose my draft!

Good job! If you have any coals left after doing that just put a small amount of coal on top of that spot and leave it a while until its going again, then add some more. Continue until you have it going real good then shake it and slowly add coal like you do starting it. Its easier than starting from scratch. Wood pellets will speed it up but blackens your glass.

I kept my 50-93 going in the garage all weekend, temps were in the low to mid 60s. no issues at all. Just kept the hopper full, ash door vents open slightly, basically just kept the hopper full and that was it! Very impressed

Thanks for the thumbs up fellows. Yes Lee I keep my coal in that. I keep my big supply in my shop and fill that up so when the weather is crappy... me and the Hitzer are happy! Lol.
