So I probably have the worst stove pipe run ever but do we think it will work?

Sure it will work, provided the chimney has enough draft to overcome the convoluted piping. I would have used two forty five fittings and altered what is in the way..

What's in the way is the reason for the convoluted pipe haha.making an airbox over the coal stove to pipe hot air into my oil furnace hot air supply the coal stove cant really heat the house enough with the stove just burning in the drafty basement alone. But good news is the chimney goes up over two stories and all the way to the basement.and is inside the house for the 1st story so has always had great draft usually too much

The flue pipe 90'ed out the back is the only way I could figure to box the flue pipe out of the airbox easily too bad the stove didnt have rear exhaust

When I bought my first hand fired it had about 25' of horizontal run across the basement with a number of elbows in it where it was installed. The chimney was over 50' so it had no trouble at all. I'll bet it had to be cleaned often though.

Here is the old way I had it pipe and a better picture of the airbox frame to understand what I'm talking about easier

I hope you are boxing out the stove pipe...
If that stove pipe is inside your plenum...
And the pipe fails in some fashion...
The house will be full of CO in short order...
Simple enough to cure...
Just keep the exhaust path outside of the air box...
Don't want you to die...

Yeah that's the reason for the funky pipe run I 90'ed it right out of the stove as seen in pictures to be able to box it out of the airbox easily and still have max air volume in the air box

It would have been possible to box it out the way it was run but very hard to do and I'd lose half my volume of the airbox

Will box get blower to move enough air? Will blower pull all it's Return air down by duct/plenum from first floor space?
Think air loop...what goes out must come back in...

Yep that's the plan I'm gonna run 12" flex duct over the coal stove blower From the cold air on the oil furnace at the bottom and run cold air from the up stairs Through the coal stoves air jacket up into the hot Box and then run 12" out of the hot Box into the oil furnace hot air supply.

Basically using all the cold air and hot air supply from the oil furnace but bypassing the heat itself and running it through the coal stove to get the heat
