Atlanta checking in. I didn't think I would have the stove going so early in the season. But it scheduled to go down to 35° with a real feel of 31°.

That is an Art Garland 145 mica base burner. Picked it up in New Baltimore, Michigan for just a couple bucks. Everybody missed this one , except me.

Almost had 4 or 5 similar hearters to sell yesterday. But came home with 2. Theses ones are spoken for.

Sorry.

I just got done taking the ashes out, and we have 3" to 3.5" on the open ground (where there's no evident drifting) here, with it coming down pretty good right now. It's 24 degrees presently and falling. It's supposed to fall to 11 degrees by tomorrow AM.

A balmy 8 or 9 degrees here right now (depending on who's nearby back yard weather station to believe), with about 4.5" of white stuff on the ground. There were plenty of accidents around here yesterday, with one fatality. The first day of bad weather is always the worst time to need to be out on the roads.

The Coal Gun has been firing frequently.

I have 18 with less than an inch of snow here at present time at the bottom of the Allegheny front. Yesterday afternoon was just flat-out crazy, there were several snow squalls that moved through that produced white-outs.

They piled a bunch of them up on I-80 yesterday and closed the road down. It only takes a skiff of snow to limit visibility up there.

Here we have 13F with winds at 15 MPH ....feels like -2F
Looks like winds will be getting worse so I'm gonna crank up the tractor and dig myself out in a few. It's not a day for flying old glory.
It'll be going down to 4F tonight.,,,might have to crack the primary a touch on the Chubby before turning in.

8F here and still only about an inch of off/on lake effect dustings of snow over the last two days.

I guess not much is making it past Freetown Hill's heat wave. :D

Teens here last night & same tonight . The chubby Jr has to be 450 - 500 to keep the house warm . So far so good but my burn times decreased to about 8 hours at that temp . Next year it's a full size chubby for me ... If I put a box fan behind the chubby Jr would that mess up my primary draft ? Just wondering if anyone does it .. I guess I gotta try & see what happens . Keep warm
